http://www.rangerink.com Visit the Ranger Booth at CHA Winter 2010 as Claudine Hellmuth demonstrates stamping with Studio Acrylic Paint and Studio Extra Time Slow-Dry Medium.
It may seem like you are wasting paint when you are viewing the technique, but you can use up all of the paint because adding the Extra Time slow dry medium means the paint stays wet longer for multiple applications—great technique for card or scrapbook page backgrounds, and fabric projects for home décor or wearable art since the paints are permanent.
What it the difference in using this to just using ink...is there a difference effect? It seems like quite a lot of messing around for something you could do with an ink pad!
The look obtained from paint is very different than from ink. Ink will give a very crisp image, while painting is more loose, artistic and vintage in effect, so choosing between ink and paint depends upon the effect you want to obtain on your project.
Seems like you waste a lot of paint using the brayer.

Could you use the blue paint for stenciling? I love the shade.
