Today Wireless Emporium will be showing you how to apply a screen protector like a pro.

The first thing you need to do is remove any dust or fingerprints on your screen. Most screen protectors come with a microfiber cloth specifically for this.

Next, make sure that you line up the protector on your screen before peeling off the sticker flap. It's important to make sure that you aren't covering up any of your phones sensors or microphones.
Once you've established which side goes down, peel back about one inch of the plastic backing using the sticker flap. Be careful not to touch the sticky part with your fingers.

Carefully line up the protector with the screen and put in place. Because we haven't peeled off the entire plastic backing, we can easily lay the screen protector down flat to make sure everything is aligned correctly. If not, make the necessary adjustments.

Once you are happy with the alignment, take a credit card and apply pressure to the screen protector as you slowly remove the rest of the plastic backing. This helps reduce the amount of air bubbles left behind.
Finally, carefully remove the second plastic layer from the top of the screen protector. Once you are done, you can use the credit card to smooth out any small air bubbles there might be.

Same rules apply for a universal screen protector. You just need to cut the screen protector to the right size to fit your phone's screen. Universal screen protectors work best with non touch screen phones and older phones that don't have as many sensors that need to be accounted for.

The first thing you need to do is lay the screen protector down on your phone and use a pen to mark off where you need to cut. Be sure to mark just a little bit smaller than your screen so you don't have flaps hanging over the edge of your phone. Universal screen protectors come with grids on them to make this process easier.

Cut out the correct pattern for your phone, and then installation is the same as before.

Now that you have your screen protector installed, you can watch movies check out photos without having to worry about your screen getting scratched or smudged.

  • Once you put on the Protector does the screen become smoother and easier to touch and use?

  • @spuddypwnerthesecond Most quality screen protectors are made to work like you don't have one on. Personally, I noticed my Samsung Galaxy S being more respondent with one of our screen protectors. As for smoother---it's as smooth as your screen, so make sure there are not stray hairs or dust lying on it before putting your protector on!
