haha, i love buck owens! i have never heard this song until about 5 mins ago. its awesome. We miss ya buck! but, like the old saying goes, if Heaven is real, they'd have one hell of a band!

I was shocked this song did not go to #1 on the Billboard country singles charts late in 1988 or early 1989 for Buck, after "Streets of Bakersfield" went #1 for he and Dwight. This never entered the top 40. Thanks to Randy Travis and Rodney Crowell's popularity in 1989. This song was too good for country radio I guess. HOT DOG!!!

Yes, that IS definitely Don Rich's guitar Buck is playing here. When he came out of retirement in 1988 for his comeback he went to Don's widow Marlane to ask for Don's Telecaster "sparkle flake" electric guitar to play as a way to honor his memory. When Buck finally stopped performing "live" in 1992 he gave the guitar to Marty Stuart as a way to let the "next generation" carry the torch. God bless Buck and Don--I still miss you both terribly. Loved you guys so much!

For one brief moment in the late 1980s, records like this got copious amounts of airplay and all was once again well in country music. Too bad it didn't last. Buck Owens is greatly, greatly missed.
