While this is normally considered to be the busiest time of the shopping season, this pre-Christmas blizzard has kept travelers homebound, flights grounded, and shopping centers and malls abandoned. The snow storm is dumping record snowfalls ensuring one thing: it will be a white Christmas in the north east."
