Living in Tripoli, Libya, a pleasure in the 60's. I Went to School at the Oasis Oil Companies School (Founded in the 1960's, Oil Companies School (OCS) in Tripoli, Libya, which was attended by children of the group of internationals employed by oil companies and oilfiled service companies such as Esso, Shell, Halliburton, etc.)

Memories of the beautiful Mediterranean, mysteries of the Old City, shopping in the soukhs, majestic Roman ruins of Leptis Magna and Sabratha, fascinating stories of Berber tribes, Tuaregs, and the Barbary pirates - all this and much more made Giorgimpopoli (international suburb of Tripoli, Libya) an amazing place to grow up.
Eating breakfast on Sundays at Wheelus, swimming at the beach club, bowling at the Bowlerina, getting a burger at Guy's & Joe's...... Ghibli's...
(The OCS later became the International School of the Martyrs)
