On Nature Boy Art Davis joined the classic Coltrane quartet on The John Coltrane Quartet Plays, recorded in 1965. A very different interpretation of a beautiful piece of music.

This recording is huge. It's something that I've never experienced before, it gives this tune a WHOLE different meaning. Simply incredible.

I know this song or like very much or do not like at all. This is a very difficult to understand and appreciate kind of jazz . This is the last act of the career of one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time and to understand his intentions, is important to fully appreciate.
