Another video of some drivebys with my 2001 Mustang Bullitt. For now, it has an o/r x-pipe with super 44 Flowmaster mufflers...everything else stock. Looking to switch to an o/r h-pipe in the near future, when I can get my hands on one.

  • Is there much difference in power and sound between an X or an H?

  • @TheBullitt1970 The x-pipe is supposed to have more rasp to it with the flows, and the h-pipe has more of a burbly sound. But when running at WOT at higher rpms, the x-pipe seemed "smoother". The h-pipe is actually a little louder, with the x-pipe being a little quieter and smoother at times. Just my experience.

  • Sounds Wicked man. I wanna do this with my Bullitt but should I use an X or an H pipe?

  • @TheBullitt1970 I would have preferred an h-pipe, but really did get used to the x-pipe. Both will sound mean which ever you go with. I miss the sound of my 4.6L, but am enjoying my 5.4L now in the GT500.

  • sounds good! wat kind of x-pipe is it and does it still have the stock cats?

  • @jbhonda714 It's a UPR off-road x-pipe (no cats)

  • If u want to make it deeper u should go wit flow 50's I'm running those on my bullitt wit an o/r x-pipe. Very deep sound because they r truck mufflers.

  • I had a BBK o/r x on my car for about 2 days. HATED it. Now i run an o/r h and i love the sound of it MUCH better. Its all personal preference

  • I went from xpipe with cats with 3 chamber flows to the stock h-pipe. I liked the tone with the x-pipe much much more, so I went back to the X-pipe now.

  • If you want the sound of an o/r h-pipe, go with an o/r prochamber. You get the sound of an o/r h-pipe but the performance of an o/r x-pipe.
