He is bitchy and maybe cruel but he tells the truth. People are threatened by that. I am an American and unfortunately a lot of us are vapid, selfish, manipulative fakes. I know people who smile at me and would sooner slit my throat as help me, or treat me fairly. At least you know where you stand with people like Pete. He pays a dear price for his honesty and the retaliation from people who cannot face the truth unless it is sugar coated.
