THE WORST GHETTO: North St. Louis, Missouri

I have been to many ghettos in the United States, such as Detroit, Baltimore, Flint, Los Angeles, ect. None were as bad as when I went to St. Louis' Northside. These pictures are not just of one part of North St. Louis.. all of it is this bad. There is no good part, no safe zones.

It's no wonder St. Louis has always been ranked the #1 most dangerous city in the United States, or have come in the top 3. The only place I've been to equivalent to North St. Louis was East St. Louis, Illinois. When I was in Detroit I felt safer than in North St. Louis.

They are opening a new park at MLK and Hodiamont and a new development office opened up near the old Hodiamont bus/trolley station.

Things are maybe going to change.

And like I said before. This video doesn't represent Walnut Park Manor of N StL. The homes there are beautiful brick with zoyzia lawns, manicured trees and lawns.

Every city has its ups and downs I dont see the point of the video seems like u tryna make those people on the northside look bad. Im from the southside. And yes its streets over here thats kinda fucked now. To but my whole neighborhood nice and it was better before those new people moved over here on the southside but I love my city

I have lived in North St. Louis for 4 years in the Kingshighway East neighborhood. I live on a fully occupied street (mostly home owners), with lovely old homes that are well kept. Most of my neighbors have been here 50+ years and take great pride in our neighborhood. We have monthly neighborhood meetings, annual block parties and Christmas dinners. We walk our 3 children to a wonderful neighborhood focused charter school. There are so many good parts.
