We raced one of these like 20 years ago in the Ft Lauderdale intracoastal.. we were in CIGARETTE 38".. with twin 540 Big Blocks and the Cary 50 was a turbine.... it was close.. the cary was just too heavy and we got up on step faster....

I will if I have time to edit my current video material or shot new stuff next summer if I'm able to. Right now it is 5 feet thick ice on the ocean and the boat is for sale. Subscribe and I'll keep you posted.

What speed does the Cary 50 top out at?
That's allot of boat to get up on a decent plane! It has four 350's right? Or, are those 454's?

It does around 40 flat out, not very fast :/ It has 4 300hp bigblock Mercruiser turbodiesels, not enough because of all the weight really. With gas engines as the boat in Miami Vice or twin 2000hp Caterpillar and Arneson drives it would go much faster.

On your video 'man falls off boat', did you go back for him? Was he OK?
