Protestor throws shoe at Turkish prime minister

A man threw his shoe at Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as he got into his official car after an award ceremony in Sevilla, Spain on Monday, news agencies have reported.

The unidentified man was detained by security guards. After an award ceremony, the protestor threw his shoe at Turkish Premier Erdoğan and shouted slogans, the Anatolia news agency has reported.

The shoe cannot reach Erdoğan and the protestor was detained immediately. Security forces said that the protestor was drunk and could not be identified immediately which nationality he belongs to.
