Warner Bros. Pictures' and Legendary Pictures' "The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar(R) winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar(R) winner Marion Cotillard ("La Vie en Rose"), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar(R) winner Michael Caine ("The Cider House Rules") plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar(R) winner Morgan Freeman ("Million Dollar Baby") reprises the role of Lucius Fox. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on "Batman Begins" and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

@DarkerPhoenix1 here is my reason my proof I went and payed money to see the dark knight I was actually kind of excited because I really did like batman begins d the I sat there and watched what I consider to be the slowest moving want to be emo excuse for a batman movie ever they did the joker all wrong the bring 2 face out only to kill him five minutes later I left that theater completely bummed out and pissed and this new movie looks even worse! I'm a real Batman fan these movies aint!

Looks kinda lame, and the football field thing was really stupid. Bane sucks, and I'm sure Hathaway's Catwoman will look and be nothing like Catwoman at all. Oh well, at least it's the last one.

@81lordgold I'll tell you exactly why Nolan is an amazing director: he does things his own way. He isn't afraid to be different and to try what others won't. And even though Joker was a main component in the success of The Dark Knight, an actor by himself can't make an amazing movie. You need someone to create the right scenario for that actor to display his talent. And you need someone to write an awesome storyline as well. And Nolan has done that! That's why you'll never be as great as him.

finally we get to see the batman take on a more physical enemy but i dont think this will be as good as the joker i love the psychology side far more than the physical
