This song sound very nice and meaningful even it is only a substitute. It is so disgustingly unjust that the R O C cannot use its own flag. red china is so incredibly unreasonable. It is futile to negotiate with thugs. We reasonable people wish there will always be a R O C and its beautiful flag flying proudly over taiwan. The red five star flag is extremely ugly anyway, anybody with an ounce of good taste wouldn't even use it to clean the counter.

no theres nothing wrong with it if you are a freedom loving person. but the ccp is not. they insist they are the one china and consider the r.o.c. irrelevant. and most countries and the international olympic committee acquiesce to the rotten ccp. as far as the ccp are concerned they dont like the r.o.c. flag because it still exists. if the world had any backbone they would ignore the ccp. but its all about money. the big corps. cant make money there unless the u.s. recognizes the p.r.c.

its an insult to the people of taiwan that they cannot use the flag of the r.o.c. but still play the flag song of the r.o.c. under a generic flag. its just absurd. the u.n. and the i.o.c. should have some courage to stand up to the p.r.c. and refuse to give in. the r.o.c. is as entilled to use their flag and anthem. the chinese civil war never really ended. no formal treaty was signed. nobody surrendered to anybody. everyone just gives into the commies. no one stands up to them. shameful.

@2painful absolutely not. its the spineless olympic committee that gives into the pressure of the peoples' republic just like most other nations do including the u.s. its shameful and a disgrace that the r.o.c. cannot use its own flag and anthemn at the olympics. just because out of arrogance the p.r.c. claims taiwan as there province. they never possessed it for a minute. its all so ridiculous. if the u.n. and the ioc. had any guts at all. they would refuse to acquiesce to the p.r.c.
