The Doctors episode featuring my sister and I talking about our different lifestyles. It was wonderful to have Dr. Barnard explain the health benefits of eating vegan. The other doctors and fitness experts had interesting comments about veganism. Watch and see!

  • What about a diet that works for our fellow animals :-/

    The way we treat them is shocking, so this argument should also be presented alongside the health concerns for humans.

    I doubt very much that a Vegan diet is nutritionally poor during pregnancy, she threw this out without providing actual evidence.

    The problem with going vegan is the lack of knowledge. It's not that hard to educate yourselves. If you can watch this, you can find heaps of great info to make you a healthier person.

  • @shambolism I'm not sure what Dr. Lisa was so fired up about. The show was edited but Dr. Barnard made a great point and said ALL women should take supplements while pregnant. Hopefully more people will listen to Dr. Barnard's sound medical research.

  • It's kinda sad how Dr Barnard shows everyone the charts, the facts of how healthy veganism is, and yet still a bunch of meat eaters try to wriggle out of the truth. Telling people that they can't get all the nutrients they need without animal products? What nutrients are they exactly??? It's like they have a mental block.

  • Vegan food has been available since the beginning of time. You do not need any of that stuff you mentioned to be vegan. You just need a variety of plants, beans, legumes, nuts, etc. Packaged foods and vegan substitutes make life more interesting for some, but are not required to be vegan. I don't take pills, spend about $100 - $150 a month on groceries, and shop mostly at places like Safeway and Kroger. I've been vegan 19 yrs, before most of the vegan specialty foods existed.

  • @XVeganDaveGodFreeX Eat a well balanced diet and youll do great. Stay away from sugar, refined carbs, and processed foods. I do what works great for me. Veganism is only possible in todays society with substitutions, additives, supplements, money, and packed grocery stores. Take it all away and see what happens.

  • Ethical sea"food?" Do you get that the same place you buy ethical treated slaves and ethically raped people and ethically tortured "lab animals?" WTF! And vegan food is so available for the masses: veggies, fruits, beans, nuts, seeds, legumes, grains - are freaking everywhere! That brunette lady sounds like an excusavore to me!

  • @NoBoogerHere Can we please stop throughing around the term Vegan diet? Since Veganism isn't a diet its a way of life where you choose from the use of any animal based products.

  • Veganism is like a religion spreading their radical views on others. There is a reason why there is no such thing or ever was a vegan culture on this planet. Meat has been apart of our diet for tens of thousands of years
