Dude you were NOT a Kirby dealer, because if you were, you would immediately notice that the BELT IS NOT ON THE PULLEY! THE BRUSH IS NOT SPINNING! That is why it is not picking up the stuff on top of the carpet! I can tell this is the case because if you listen there is no sound of the vacuum grooming the carpet, and Kirby's always make that noise unless the belt is unhooked. I hoped you have fixed that problem by now, because that is an excellent vacuum when you use it correctly!

@ChrisL0387 Are you saying dumb or just incorrect information on purpose? Nothing in Walmart comes close to a U.S.A made Kirby, NOTHING. Not calling you dumb, but you're way fucking off.

The kirbys are made in Cleveland Ohio for the past 98 years and the kirbys real easy to use that kid was just a tool lol but he is right the machines worth every penny that they ask for it

Where is it made? My dyson is much easier to carry

Kirby's are a rip-off. It is basically a vacuum with a retail value of around $500 with high margin add-ons. The warrantee is no better than any $200-400 vacuum. Their built-in high margin is to allow for high pressure tactics and unaccountable reseller/distributors. Always warn your family members, especially the elderly about Kirby. Their objective is the 'financing' which suddenly removed Kirby from the picture and ties your loved one to horribly interest on a LONG-term payment plan.

You sir, rock.

dude, i sold sentrias.... (SEN- TREE- UH) not sen-tra.

they are not worth the money. its too easy and cheap to buy an old kirby for less than the price of a wal-mart piece of junk. my parents bought a kirby heritage I 15 years ago, we paid 125 for it and its still works great. its old but its still a kirby. kirby makes a good vacuum but look at older models (tradition, heritage, heritage II, legend, and legend II). you can buy them for less than $200 and still get a lifetime of service out of them

You people talking about being scammed because you paid more then the msrp are crazy! do you think you pay msrp on ANYTHING you buy..........EVER? NO. Food, clothes, cars, gas, pretty much EVERYTHING you will or have ever bought is marked up for profit! Do you think Walmart pays 500 for a Dyson and then sells it to you for 500? Try 100 or less! If companies sold things for the msrp they would all go outta business. Duh. Its called business and the American way!

@tsilb hmm..thanks im going to try out for couple of weeks see how it goes
so i just got a job selling these i start my first inhome demonstration next week, is there really
potential to make lots of money with kirby or is it also just a scam? please let me know

@odisus69 It seems like a scam to many dealers and customers due to the way it operates and the pricing structure, but if you're good, you can make some serious money. There were weeks I made two grand, and there were months I made nothing.

Did you get the shampoo attachment included in that price you mentioned?

@nanomuse Yup, and the furniture shampooer.

I think that you might be too intelligent for Kirby. Perhaps you could invent a way to eliminate the need for a BELT - then you wouldn't have to remember to USE THE BELT LIFTER. Kirby has never had a lifetime warranty. I do appreciate the fact that you appreciate quality, reliability and performance.

@ascend2freedom No lifetime warranty? The lifetime warranty card I have in my safe says otherwise.
