wow that camera IS really crappy.

no, plasmas were made specifically to stop the blur. Plasmas are good for smooth fast motion such as watching sports or movies. Most lcd's have 60-240hz while plasmas have 600hz. Both are good televisions though.

do these tvs have that Phospurus blur? like image trailing?

Screen savers, pixel shifting, and brightness level adjustments can dramatically reduce any chance of image retention. Use common sense when it comes to your plasma TV; don't pause video games or watch TV stations with station logos onscreen for long periods of time, and use one of the many display calibration DVDs available today for properly setting brightness and contrast.
The rule of thumb: if you don't worry about your traditional TV you don't have to worry about a Panasonic plasma TV.

The fact that you have a Pioneer (most likly a Kuro unless you bought used) then IR and burn-in will be a non issue with it (these things are nearly imposible to even get IR to show up) My longest gaming session was 8 hours back when it was only a month old. (Call of Duty 4 single player straight run and some multiplayer) I got some IR but it was gone after 30 minutes, my plasma is much more IR resistant now and the same IR would take about 5-10 minutes to fade.

what about image retention? whats been your longest gaming session and what percentage of tv usage would you say is gaming? curious to know as i am a new first time plasma owner. i have a pioneer

size of a tv counts of how close you are to it, i think 32inch-50inch is very good tv size. when is going stop every talks about i have 42inch and i want bigger size, i have a 32inch and thats already big for me i think your tvs are size blinding you,but again it depends how close you are to it just get closer to it but if you have the money go for it but be careful with size blinding
Ok i have a 50 inch panasonic veirra plasma it is rated at 720p on the box but it can go to around 1080p apparently is that true? I also have been hesitant to play my 360 on it because of image retention/burn in should i be worried? My t.v has a game mode..is that ok to use for games?

OK you have a 720p Panasonic plasma, it does support 1080p over HDMI and it scales it to the TV's native resolution (which looks better than 720p native on my set) As for gaming, about half of my total hours on my current Panasonic has been gaming, the worst I got was minor IR that lasted for about 25minutes, and that was when the set was new. Unless you only plan to play the same game non stop you should be just fine, enjoy your Panasonic plasma.
