A clip from a 1976 interview on British television with Philip Morris VP of Research and Development Helmut Wakeham.

Here Wakeham says that if cigarettes were found to be harmful Philip Morris wouldn't be in the business anymore. They're a moralistic company. Dr. Wakeham also explains there is a great deal of doubt on whether cigarettes are harmful.

@divad1212 - Second hand smoke, according to all those studies I've read SHOW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not to mention the EPA skewed their second hand smoke mortality study with falsifying evidence. It's all just nonsense, Everyone knows that Tobacco may cause complications, but what in life can't kill you? It's like this: Pick and choose your hazardous products cause at any time something can kill you. Lesser of the two evils, and you make your choice.

@kingnocomply they started the business of making cigarettes and keep it going because they know and realize that people who hate the fact that they smoke and hate the cigarette companys for it.. will pay for it anyways even if it does harm to their health or even if it's taxed out of their asses .. in a somehow strange and sort of demented way I cannot blame Phillip Morris
