Afrer the book, it was turned into a a stage musical in 1902 in Chicago and then NY in 1903. The costumes were so beautiful. They were similar to these costumes. the NYPL digital library has a lot of the photos if you want to see them. Also, some people say that there is no real proof that this is Bebe Daniels. Google books is an excellent site to read about the history of movie making as you can look up books and magazines from the era.
