Neymar stars as Santos beat Internacional 3-1
Neymar delivered yet another man-of-the-match performance scoring a sensational hatrick to help Santos beat Internacional 3-1 in the Copa Libertadores at the Vila Belmiro on Wednesday.
The Brazilian international opened the scoring in the 18th minute, converting from the penalty spot after Marcos Indio's foul on Borges just inside the box.
Nine minutes in to the second half, Neymar doubled Santos' lead with a goal similar to the one that won him the 2011 Puskas award. The 19-yeard old forward made a run from inside his own half, taking on four Inter players, before poking the ball past keeper Muriel.
But just after the hour mark, Leandro Damião pulled one back for the Colorado, tapping in Oscar's cross from six-yards out.
However Inter's fight-back was immediately denied by the exceptional talent of Neymar, who grabbed his hatrick with a goal similar to his second, just one minute later. From the left wing, the striker dribbled past three Inter players, before lifting the ball over Muriel to secure Santos' 3-1 win.
