O for Awesome! Kiwis know what we are talking about. The legendary (world famous in NZ) Hi Marks given the Soulforce touch. New funky beat, sped up and some choice samples. Please rate or comment. We appreciate the feedback.
@KINGCOUNTRY01 I understand what you mean, but the song hasn't really been changed except for an extra beat being added to the background.. The Hi-Marks are not the originators of this waiata, does that mean they should never have recorded it?? By the way, I am from the King Country so Tena Koe.. ;)
@KINGCOUNTRY01 if it wasn't for remixes old songs wouldn't find a new audience. Keep your original versions but don't stop others from bringing the old and putting a modern twist on it for newer audiences to enjoy.
just a bit of info for everyone out there, the original song is called 'Tomo Mai' and was composed by Henare Waitoa in 1945 :) that is the first waiata.
Haha growing up in Waikato we use to here my parents,Aunties,Uncles, all singing these songs lol NOW we all do when at a party in NZ haha. Always good to go home and have a party singing with all the whanau....

Leave these waiatas as they were originally intended to be. People remixing them are ruining them kia ora kare.
