I can't say THANK YOU enough for posting this! Shani became my first movie star crush when I was 8 and fell in love with her in Oliver. I've always been so disappointed she never got the work or recognition she so richly deserved. It's so wonderful to see and hear her here in things I never knew existed until now. Thank you again!

Shani is definitly THE Nancy. She was soo good in Oliver. I think she should have got more recognition and fame than she did.

I don't think I've ever seen or heard Shani in anything ohter than Oliver!

Shani appeared in Johnnie Ray's UK ATV's 'Johnnie Ray Sings'tv shows which were recorded and shown during the summer of 1959. Shani sang a duet or two with Johnnie and sang 2 solo songs in each show. Six were made. I have 4 of the complete shows. She also appeared in a J Ray tv show with Johnnie in 1957 - Saturday Spectacular. This song is taken from one of the 6 shows.

Like alot of singer/actresses of her generation, Shani's career was mismanaged by her manager husband. She did do alot of nightclubs here in the states and quite a bit of television, but never matched the success of OLIVER! She was offered THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY and turned it down.
