I remember the first time I listened to this song. I was listening to it from my iPod with headphones on while walking home from my bus stop and I had the volume up since that's the best way to Dinosaur Jr and I thought it was a pretty cool song. Then the crazy ending started, and I swear it almost made me deaf. It was a musical experience that only Dinosaur Jr could provide.

I absolutely love this song, and often find myself humming it, but just reading through the lyrics I realised I haven't got a clue what the fuck he's on about.
What's the 'it' in the first verse, and the 'thing' he found in the second? Are either of them a glove?

yea but i got this one off of fossils, and idk if it's exactly the same as the older one or not, so i put that it's from fossils.
