A winter trip to visit Zangla Palace hidden in the Indian Himalaya, in the remote Zanskar valley, on the ice of the partially frozen Zanskar river. The Palace of the former Zangla Kings used to be the place where Alexander Csoma de Kőrös, a Hungarian pioneer of science, the founder of Tibetology commenced his work on the first English-Tibetan Dictionary. Csoma's Room Foundation is doing some emergency interventions and restoration works on the palace since 2008 every summer, with volunteers. When the journalist traveling with us almost fell into the river it was a true situation, but the camera wasn't on, so we reconstructed it later in the studio. We left it look a bit fake to keep it honest.
