Baby changing table, the making of. . . - Watch in Hi-/def.

Video documents the construction of a baby changing table that I decided to make. The design is mine. The Wood is furniture grade pine. The most important design element (besides safety) is the height of the table.

Please use furniture straps to secure childrens furniture to the wall to prevent toppling over by a curious sibling.

Mike, I appreciate the comment. The changing table was made to match the style of an existing crib that I purchased. I can try to find the plans, but the computer that they were on crashed and is no longer there. I'll see what I can do to find the originals.

Furniture grade pine. Clear coat was polyurethane. I don't remember which stain I used.

I generally do not choose pine for furniture, but in this case I was trying to match a crib that was purchased already.

Dave, this piece is beautiful! I am a young finish carpenter in Maine, and would love to make this for my first child that's due this summer, I'm not sure if you were able to recover your plans from your crashed computer...if you did I would love a copy. This will be my first free standing piece! The majority of my work is fixed built ins!
