Live Sea Snake at Tarkarli - Malvan

A Live, extremely poisonous sea snake got washed away on Tarkarli Beach. There is no antidote and usually they are suppose to be atleast 20 nautical miles inside sea and not on a sea shore.

Did you bother trying to put the snake back out to sea? You know when they're washed up onto the shore they're stranded. The majority die by being baked on land by the sun. :|

Yes, we had a forest office along with us and did that thrice. The snake was either too old to fight back the tide OR perhaps injured. It just didnt have the strength to return and kept getting washed ashore. My feeling is that it was not going to survive.

Sea snakes while poisonous, pose no real threat to humans. They have to knaw on you to break skin.
