brother C, Hello and God Bless you! it seems to me that this vid is as much of a confession as it is exortation. it also seems to me that we all struggle with the right way to observe this ordanance. However, when our lives are not poured out wine of Holy Spirit righteousness/Love and the broken bread of humbleness/brokeness and Love then we should not be suprised when those around us are weak, sickly, and dying. Lord help us get it right.
I completely agree with you on communion, subscribed!, I recently started attending home churches as opposed to going to the church building (used to attend a Church of Christ BTW) and the first thing I was taught at the home church was the benefits of communion as a meal. I was never uplifted or renewed or anything taking a small cracker and bit of grape juice while remaining silent, not like when I'm talking with brothers and sisters over a meal about whats going on in each others lives.
I think when Jesus said "do this in memory of me" I believe he was talking of the whole meal and fellowship with Him as the head. The line up, take the cracker, juice and shut up is not what is intended.
prem - not necessarily pagan - but not necessarily right either... I know everyone wants to dismiss the setting - but I happen to believe settings are important...
cflock - true... and I am not forbidding anyone or judging THEM persay - but I am looking at a problem and saying - why not fix it - and getting a whole lot of heat for it - lol.
walt - you are blinded in your adherence to your traditions - I am not claiming I am right - or that I have all the answers - but its really easy to look at what you're defending and see that ain't Christ's Way. If you aren't doing it right - why bother doing it at all - in heart - body and mind - in every way possible... there is no excuse for fighting against doing anything the way Jesus did it. None what so ever... and guess what - He didn't do communion like we do it today...

I agree - however - to dismiss the setting and to declare the assembly line of snack pack communions as being sufficient seems obscene;

the setting is important when it becomes so bastardized that it doesn't even resemble the originating point.
