The X Factor 2011 Live Show Finals: Amelia Lily sings River Deep, Mountain High from Tina Turner. This was a great song choice for Amelia Lily and Amelia & Kelly Rowland complimented other really well.
This shouldn't have done Amelia Lily any harm and it was all quite emotional at the end. Kelly is very impressed with all the work and talent that Amelia has shown.

I don't think Amelia outshined Kelly, I think Kelly was holding back to push Amelia to do better. I mean when your on stage with someone with a voice and legacy like Kelly Rowland you have to go farther and I think Kelly wanted her to win. I think this performance was just for fun to Kelly and it was EVERYTHING to Amelia. But Their chemistry and harmony was much better than the other acts. Based on this performance she should have won. But hey, she'll get her chance now that she has the exposure

@rustytobias If you think that's what being outshone vocally sounds like, you need to have your ears, and maybe your heart replaced! Also, the word is "humility"not "humbleness". Kelly Rowland (vocally speaking) is the best judge ever. Most other singer judges wouldn't even WANT to share the stage with their protegees because they'd be vocally outshone (eg, Cheryl Cole & Alexandra Burke). Also, a big voice isn't everything, look at all the X-Factor and Idol contestants who haven't succeeded.

@shred1224 Amelia has a bigger range but sophie had a unique tone in my opinion. its also worth noting that sophie had less screen time during the audition process, so poeple didnt get to know her as much as sophie. but I take your point :)

@joecaton93 bit late but thought i'd reply. I think people need to give kelly a break. she had the most talented acts this year and it would have been hard to send any of her girls home. remember it was the producers decision to take one act away. I'm sure kelly meant what she said.
