Special thanks to Chris Taibbi http://www.youtube.com/user/ctjuggles for the practice challenge!!! This challenge really helps me to work on my consistency and some short routines. If you are a juggler, and you have a camera and internet access, and have not attempted the practice challenge yet, DO IT NOW! ...and if you have already made a practice challenge video, make another one with a different prop!

I have been wanting to do the 5ball practice challenge for a while now. Just recently, I finally decided my 5ball juggling was strong enough to go for it! I'll be honest, this was NOT my first take. Probably more like my 100th take, but I wanted to nail all the tricks in the first couple minutes, to ensure that I could fill the whole 5min of the challenge, and make the video more entertaining with more tricks and less drops. Also, on the 645, the first attempt wasn't really an attempt... and the second attempt qualified the pattern, but I was compelled to do a full four rounds of 645, so technically there were 4 attempts there (which technically breaks the challenge rules) but whatever.... close enough.

so yeah, 40 tricks/transitions/patterns/variations in 5 minutes. I didn't count every transition, only the ones that are still challenging for me... (which is almost all of them, except maybe a couple) oh yeah, and if anyone knows the proper siteswap/trick names for any of this, let me know cuz it's just all crazy! I get so lost with multiplex siteswap and synch stuff... errrrr jugglemath is tying my brain in a knot...

Thanks for watching! comments and good ratings are greatly appreciated!

  • This is such an awesome video. I wonder how many variations you'd be able to do now with all the extra juggling experience youve gained since making this!

  • thanks! wow, I can't believe this was a year ago! I will definitely re-take the 5ball challenge again sometime this year. I'm sure that I could come up with a routine 100 times better now.

You should take the challenge with 5! Unless you already did and I missed it... I remember you did it with 4, and then with bounce balls. Time to do it with 5!

  • Yeah I've been planning on doing the challenge with 5 for some time now, but the weather outside has been utter crap since like October. So I haven't had a practice space with a high enough ceiling to do all the stuff i'm capable of... I think I should probably look for a new place to juggle before next winter comes around. Otherwise i'll be pretty much screwed, haha. (But really this isn't a laughing matter.)

Anyway look out for the 5 ball practice challenge coming soon (hopefully!)

  • I've determined the minimum ceiling height needed for juggling is about 20 meters for most tricks with really high throws... make sure you find somewhere with a high enough ceiling.

  • @weld2010 I don't remember exactly.. I'm pretty sure I learned 645 from a cold start though. 645 was frustrating for me to learn, i DO remember that! hahaha

  • @weld2010 Yeah I was proud of this one when I made it... over 2 years ago? I need to remake this with harder/better tricks! I've been meaning to do that...

  • that multi shower was really nice lookin!

  • such a sick freak!!!

Try to learn 5 balls myself at the time.
