  • By far the best performance of this piece that I have heard so far on You-Tube. This is a first violin concerto, but I'm always amazed at the contributions of the other instruments in the way this piece is written.

  • I am ashamed of being a classical music patron for so long but only just heard this piece the first time this morning on Performance Today. I have to say the third movement sounds a bit too "Mozartesque", but I nearly dropped tears for this opening movement!

  • Performance starts at 0:52.

  • love this... BUT PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST CUTS EVER!! I'm pretty sure I almost had a heart attack when it stopped :(

  • @LudwigZhi why the tears? can you elaborate

  • OMG

  • What a unique performance and interpretation! Great job! May I know where is this performance taken place? and who are the instrumentalists?

  • Only one problem with this otherwise-sublime video: it cuts at the worst possible moment --- 2 bars before the repeat of the exposition! ARG! ;)

  • @plasticteak i would say that they all are equally amazing. the 1st violinist wasn't particularly better, he just had the more interesting part.

  • @mrmolinodelahoz

you need a thousand lives to listen to everything, and maybe even those ones are not enough

  • seriously!!
