  • WAT DO U FEED THEM PLZ

  • Really finely crushed spirulina flakes.

  • So if I leave the fry with the parents they will get eaten?

  • Yup, more likely than not...my recommendation is to isolate them if you want to raise them.

  • why did you separate them?

  • They get consumed by adults unless they are separated. These are Pseudotropheus zebra.

  • @calwhiz I Have a Pair of Geophagus Brasiliensis And im after breeding them fry is about 5 days old free swimming but i dont have any suitable tanks i only have my big Tank with Silver Arowana and Clown Knifefish that will eat the parents if i put em in So Will i just see how the parents deal with the babys?

  • @calwhiz i thought cichlids looked after there fry

  • Hey, I have 2 African Cichlids in a 55 gallon tank, and one is about a year old and the other is about 9 months old. The 9 month old Cichlid in the past 2 days changed colors to a darker tone, and in the past week has gained a big belly. I am just curious if it is because it is about to lay eggs or what, my year old chichlid has never changed tones and has never picked up a big stomach. Any tips would help and IF it is pregnant do you seperate them from the parents when they are eggs or as fry

  • @ikermalli It depends on the parents. I have convict cichlids and they take very good care of the fry. They don't eat them. The parents will even go as far as to protect them from the other parent if they try to eat them.

  • that looks like a 2 months old fry to me

  • ive had em breed an=t less than 2 inches..but they dont produce many fry
