Yes it's monotonous and yes it's boring to watch, but these players are playing for titles and prizes, they're not going to switch to an inferor strategy that'll lower their chances of success just to put on a show for the audience.

Yeah, such a cheap strategy because jumping high kicks are so impossible to block, parrys are easy and guaranteed and you could throw your aegis out with your eyes closed that you would automatically juggle after that, and the partitioning going on in the background throughout all this is probably the first thing you learn in the game. And were those things in that order? Because it makes perfect sense!
