  • How does this compare to the Fuzz Factory?

  • @mrhumpydumpyable The Fuzz Factory is a heavier, modern sounding oscillating fuzz. The TBD is a lo-fi, more raw oscillating fuzz. The Fuzz Factory would probably cover you for many styles of music that require a heavy or thicker fuzz while the TBD gives more odd sounds that suit Shoegaze and lo-fi garage/punk. The TBD has a clean blend that is also very useful and probably my favorite feature. The TBD can annihilate your tone, and it's fun to bring the clean signal in and balance the two.

  • @mrhumpydumpyable Hope that helped!

  • does this work with a bass?

  • @elefantkaputt If you'd like a very lofi bass tone with minimal low end, then yes. The Disaster fuzz circuit isn't what I'd pick to push my bass through, but I could imagine some interesting lofi synth bass tones coming from using the TBD.

  • @PumpkinPieces33 my current aim is to make the bass sound like a synth bass used in some electrorock songs... idk if id need many low ends for it... but since this pedal is expensive and i dont want to get disappointed, i just made my lead guitarist buy it so i can try it out xDD

  • @elefantkaputt Haha, good choice. If the TBD doesn't end up being what you're looking for I liked getting synthy sounds with my bass by using Devi's God Zilla.
