A Day in a Pamir Village

Crochet Insider Dora Ohrenstein (www.crochetinsider.com) went on a journey to the remote area of the Pamirs, the eastern mountainous region of Tajikistan, to learn more about the mysterious jurabs -- colorful socks -- made by the women there. In the house of one of the artisans a professional musician appeared who sang with great power, playing accordion, accompanied by two boys who were expert drummers, and a small concert ensued.
