@Scaar81 Only because it explains it all for you. Novels are not as cinematic or as emotional as films. They'e written in a way that any generic person (ex. you) can receive the stories they tell properly--whereas the films of Stanley Kubrick told stories in a way that most are unaccustomed to receiving stories. The film is far more complex and more difficult to understand, that is why you prefer the novel, which is still good nonetheless.

i finished the book yesterday. 5 times better than the movie.

Shocking as it was when I first viewed it decades ago, but compared to the Manson
murder scenes a few years earlier, so very sanguine and domesticated, (art as life,...)
