@Aquarianquetie .. Almost :-) Ashley was not born of L.A.; she is the daughter Perri had with first husband George Smith. George actually worked with Perri on this album (as the album was recorded prior to meeting LA/Babyface and subsequently recording Girlfriend) , and at times she wrote using Smith as her sir name (Perri A. Smith or Perri Smith - as listed as co-writer of Babyface's Whip Appeal). :-)

One of the things I love about old school is that years after the release of the album, you still know the words verbatim. I wonder how many lyrics we'll remember from this crap they pass off as music today.
