Thanks to Jerry Brown and the Police Chiefs of the great state of California we can no longer open carry our handguns as of the 1st of Jan. 2012. So I made this locked holster container. Necessity is the mother of invention. I do not consent to search.

  • Please post a video on what you used to build that as I can see tons of people finding that setup great. Also, for concealed carry, dont you have to be transporting the weapon only to a firing range and back home or is that applied to only vehicle concealed carry and not on your actual persons?

  • @daimyo21 I will soon, I have been busy.

  • 26389. Section 26350 does not apply to, or affect, the carrying

of an unloaded handgun if the handgun is carried either in the locked

trunk of a motor vehicle or in a locked container.

  • @jaker277 And that is why I built my fully enclosed locking container.

  • Brilliant Idea.. I'm a resident of the Inland Empire and am saddened of how so many people FEAR firearms in the public.. I love California too much to move, I rather stand and fight for OUR rights.. keep the videos coming.. thanks for ur support.

  • awesome idea

  • I know it sucks but have you considered moving to a state where your rights aren't so oppressed?

  • They also have a variant with a fingerprint/biometric lock, but those are ultra-spendy.

  • Use a MicroVault that has both a rounded key on top and a 4-button electronic lock. You can get them for $100, and if it's too heavy to carry, you could scavenge the mechanism to install in a lighter plastic case.

That, or use a rounded key, or a lock that uses double sided keys with an identical pin on each side, then make yourself the equivalent of a mag-well for the key so you can do it without looking.

  • I guess we will see it tested in court. Seriously good luck with that.

  • @hapkidoglock This changes on Jan 1.
