  • @heinzeronald I`m sorry, I found it out only now - that today I sent my text to you not correctly! I wrote there - that I was very grateful for your wonderful letter, and that I`d be just happy to get some more impressions of yours about the great Baltsa - on stage and also as a "real" person, for I believe her backstage image is also great.

    Thanks a lot - again!

  • heinzeronald, oh yes, you ARE lucky! You know - there is something precious for me in your letter... and I`d be so glad to learn more from you about Baltsa. She is a great joy, true artistic icon for me- and I believe that she must be a VERY special character in her backstage life - strong, noble and with charming sense of humour.

    Thank you very much!

  • @Rospaint I could even tell you, that I was lucky enough to see her as Santuzza, Carmen, Isabella and Klytemnestra and in several concerts as well. And I was even more lucky to get her to know personally. Once she said to me that I am completely mad, I replied that I couldn't imagine no better madnes than that :-) Cordial greets from Berlin, Ronald

  • @heinzeronald Thank you! It is always so wonderful to find out there is someone, who thinks the same way as you. Especially - so far away! Have you ever seen Baltsa on stage? That should be awesome indeed! Unfortunately, I know her only through CDs and films. And still (and I do beleive I am right!) I have no doubt that she is one of the greatests in opera of all times.

Good luck and greetings from Moscow!

  • @RosebaThePainter Nothing to add at least. As often as I saw or met Agnes Baltsa it turns out to be an impression one never will forget!
