3/4 Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova goes to Sofia, Bulgaria to collaborate with Krassimir Kyurkchiyski, the Cosmic Voices of Bulgaria, and the Sofia Soloists Chamber Orchestra to record her 2004 ECHO Award winning CD, Bulgarian Soul (Bulgarian folk songs)... and spends some time catching up with the hometown culture and tradition.

From the German documentary, 'Nun sag mir, kleine weisse Wolke (Tell Me, Little White Cloud)' by Claus Wischmann and Stefan Pannen.

If you enjoy this, buy the CD on RCA Red Seal Label!!

  • Truly amazing! The girls are folk singers, and Kasarova is an opera diva!!! Loved the part when she talks about how in the past Bulgarians were not allowed to worship freely as Christians .... Trully moving! "Kalimanku Denku" was done to perfection. It is SO not easy to make the whole music phrase so evenly toned... She is one amazing vocal performer!!!! Loved it, thanks!

  • AMAZING!
