As for the workmanship cost, most jewlers will do a base mold casting for less than 50USD (if material is supplied). sure theres markups for overhead costs. but your claimed markup is much higher than you make it out to be. quater ounce is valued at 455 out of a sell price of 3927 amounts to a 860% net markup compaired to say a normal jewlers casting fee of 0.5%

@Lokivoid Do you really think jewelry stores sell gold jewelry for the cost of the gold?? Think about this, if you're able. Gold is $1,823 an ounce, a manufacturer pays that much for the gold, PLUS they pay to have it manufactured into a specific form or product, adding up to 50% to costs. Then there is a mark up to cover over head and a profit. I make jewelry myself, and to think that you can buy a completed product for the same price of the raw materials, just shows your lack of knowledge.
