I think any one willing to share knowledge on multifuel stoves is doing us all a favour

Guys I'm looking for help.
When I was a kid my father had this insert in the fire place it looked like a bunch of muffler pipes. There was a fan hooked to it and the fire was placed on the pipes and the warm air that came from it was fantastic!
Dose Any one know the name of this thing. I am looking for it.

Hi RCanton, we fitted the insert into a fire place, we were just lucky it fitted as a bunch of others were to big or small, glad to hear you have one to and it's working fine.

Hi. How long does a full cord of wood last with these stoves?
IsmarBurgos 4 years ago
We use about three cords of wood a year, we burn in the evening and at the weekends. There are a bunch of variables involved, type of wood, how dry is the wood, etc.
Hope this helps.

Nice, I just got one too (and uploaded it to youtube)! I'm hoping to get the rest of my fireplace looking like yours, too, that looks fantastic, John. Did you have the mantle, hearth and the rest professionally done? The house was 80 degrees last night, I can't help it, I love burning this thing! :)

The Mantle was built with the house and we just added the insert. The rock gets nice and warm after a few days.
