Teach your children this message of Hope and the Remarkable Gift God has given. Have we been seeking Absolute Truth? Can we find it? Jesus asked...."Who do you say I AM?" Jesus said "I and my Father are One" meaning One God. -Isaiah 43:10 -"Before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me"
One of the most important questions of our lifetime. Come and see what our Bible has to say on this topic. I pray that you dicern the words of our God and Savior.

  • PART 1 (Joseph Smith first vision) Quote ALL....

"I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak. Thick darkness gathered around me, and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction.

"But, exerting all my powers to call upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when

  • PART 2 (Joseph Smith first vision) I was ready to sink into despair and abandon myself to destruction\-not to an imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any being--just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.

  • PART 3 (Joseph Smith first vision)

"My object in going to inquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right--and which I should join.

  • PART 4 (ATTACK on all Christian Churches)

"I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong, and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that "they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me; they teach for doctrines the commandments of men: having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof."

  • Lovely, a bit repetitive, but I don't disagree with scripture quotes. Mormons believe in The Bible, as far as it is translated correctly. We believe in the same Jesus Christ, as there is only one. We worship Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon also testifies of Christ. You're beating a dead horse here, we agree.

  • Yes but HOW do you know when you are reading Truth? Truth by definition is exclusive. How about evidence is it important? How about an abundance of historical manuscripts? Can Fulfilled Prophesy reveal Truth? Can two people have two very different ideas about God and both of them be right? IS it right to test Islam Doctrine for example. Is it good to find Absolute Truth and defend it? Is it good to ask questions about our own faith?

  • The book of Acts, in the New Testament of the Holy Bible, provides a rich history of the genesis of the New Testament church, following the ascension of our Lord. The Holy Spirit filled all of Christ's disciples, who were present in the upper room, on the day of Pentecost. In addition, the Apostle Peter was empowered to preach a sermon that resulted in the salvation of three thousand souls and an exponential increase in the number of new church members (Acts 2).

  • Those who followed the Lord Jesus Christ as His Apostles and went on to establish the first Christian churches are considered early church fathers. These men not only established churches, but encouraged and discipled new converts in their faith.

  • Dont speak of orthodoxy if you havent read early church fathers. Of course Christ is unique son of God. No one argues that. But orthodox christianity in first 2-300 years didnt not teach what you claim. You misinterpret.

McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, pp.546-547; 742; Ezra Taft Benson, Come unto Christ, p. 4; Robert L. Millet, The Mormon Faith:Understanding Restored Christianity, p.31). Mormon doctrine affirms that Jesus, all angels, Lucifer, all demons, & all human beings are originally spirit brothers&sisters (Abraham 3:22-27; Moses 4:1-2; Gospel Principles, pp. 17-18; Mormon Doctrine, p.192).

  • By contrast, the Mormon Church teaches that Jesus Christ is our elder brother who progressed to godhood, having first been procreated as a spirit child by Heavenly Father and a heavenly mother; He was later conceived physically through intercourse between Heavenly Father and the virgin Mary

  • While never less than God, at the appointed time He laid aside the glory He shared with the Father (Jn 17:4, 5; Phil 2:6-11) & was made flesh for our salvation; His incarnation was accomplished through being conceived supernaturally by the Holy Spirit & born of a virgin (Matt 1:18-23; Lk 1:34-35).
