im 32 and can speak for 90s philly, if theres more murders, (debateable) its because its harder to sell drugs. in the 90s you literally had cars lined up for blocks to buy drugs. thats gone and after 30 years they pretty much stopped graffiti. the city looks better. still ghetto as fuck.

Too bad the suckas cut off the sound...anyway I agree with the fact that most people choose not to acknowledge this problem. I've gotten into countless debates with the 'tourist' types that only see Philly as a bunch of pretty buildings and some shopping. I tell them they have to go through the Whole city to see the Real Philly...oh and maybe spend a few years here;

i do agree with this and i don't...people complain that they have to do all this bullshit and get involved in crime because their are no jobs...but at one time there were jobs in Philadelphia and people chose to go to these jobs on speed...shooting heroine at work...people had good pensions and good pay and they fucked that up for themselves because the work incentive is lost and is going to take a long time to return...
