I was going through some files on my computer and came upon this. Think it's about a year old. There are a couple of little screw ups in there which is probably why I didn't upload it at the time. I obviously wasn't happy with it but I guess my standards must be slipping! :)

Slowed it down and lowered it to give it a bit of a different feel.

  • Brilliant, again, it's so helpful to have good covers on YouTube to help folk like ms learn these tunes. Your JM covers are among the best up here. Great flow and magic vocals.

  • @1978BenF I agree. I've picked up much from fellow enthusiasts on youtube and hope that a few others have learned a bit from me. Thanks a lot for the comments. Much appreciated.

  • One of my favorit songs much better than the Dylan version.

    It would make JM proud.

Make no mistakes cause it's all for the sake of LOVE

  • Thanks Jos, glad you enjoyed it.

  • How did I miss this one Jim; thank you for sending it. This is brilliant! Your "little screw ups" to me are quite charming and wouldn't have it any other way. Bravo Jim - all stars to YOU!

    cheers

  • Thanks Julie.

    Enjoy that Jansch CD :)

  • any chance of you doing a lesson for the picking pattern?

  • Damn, I thought I got away with that one! :) There's a worse slip at the end of the first chorus actually but who's counting?

It's actually tuned down a whole step and capoed at the third. I quite often have it tuned down because it gives the strings a nice loose feel.

Many thanks for your comments Ian.

  • Oh - you mean the 'slight miss' at the end 5 secs to go..? Thats the only 'hiccup' beyond perfection I detected actually. Personally I'd be really pleased if I'd have done that the way you did with such a slip. Also the vocals and guitar - great together- (much better than my attempt for example).

[I know you're in standard here, but -is that 'concert pitch standard' open and then you capoed two frets up?]

    -regardless, glad you uploaded this.

    5* poorer again

    -ian
