I show you how to make a popular Jewish dish called Knish. Knish basically consists of spiced mashed potatoes inside a baked dough.

  • Planning to make knish today. I'm gonna use your video for reference, recipies are boring..

  • @ZZombyWooff Yeah that's exactly why I make these videos, it's much easier and more fun to follow a video of someone doing it than to read it and try it.

  • @Albino7122 good job. ok, I tried this few hours ago. I added some minced meat because the basic recipe sounds quite lame. It turned out ok. I dont know, I didnt do anything wrong, but my knishes are still lame. ok, but lame. Maybe it needs some spices and different meat. + cheese. Or then I'm just not a knish-man myself :D

  • @ZZombyWooff Yeah I agree with you. I remember them tasting good, but nothing special. I think I followed the recipe fine, it's just potatoes are kind of bland in general. Any kind of potato people like is usually because it has butter or bacon all over it or it is fried. I'm glad you mixed it up and made the recipe your own.

  • id like to try this!

  • @MsSMSgirl Go for it! All the recipes I try it's usually my first time and they turn out decent. The ingredients are nothing fancy or expensive so go for it, a beginning cook can be a great cook :)

  • Nice narrative. One can also make them into rounds.Lazy boys like me won't waste an eggs and then be left with what to do with the egg, but use instead mayonnaise as a coating-it comes out great and no leftovers

  • @wendylable correct. It is K-nish, with a hard K

  • thank you for sharing this recipe! We are trying it out tonight.

  • Nice, simplified recipe directions, but I don't think the K is silent. It's not nishes. My grandmother's been making them since we were little. Great food!

  • nice!!
