21 Years Since Ron Arad's Capture - Fate of Seven Other MIA's Still Unclear

On October 16, it will be exactly 21 years since IAF navigator Ron Arad was captured by Amal in Lebanon. His daughter Yuval and brother Chen will meet with German officials in an attempt to prevent the release of Iranian intelligence chief Kazem Darabi, incarcerated in Germany for killing Iranian dissidents in 1991. Darabi is considered a bargaining chip whose release could bring about details concerning Arad and the two IDF reservists Udi Goldwasser and Eldad Regev captured by Hizbullah in July last year.Aside from Arad, seven other Israeli soldiers remain missing in action. Zacharia Baumel. Yehuda Katz and Zvi Feldman who went missing in the battle of Sultan Yakoub in Lebanon in 1982. Guy Hever who in August 1997 was last seen leaving his base for home. Gilad Schalit held captive in Gaza since June last year and the two IDF reservists, Goldwasser and Regev taken captive by Hizbullah a month later.10/15/07
