1966 Ford Mustang Coupe First run

just bought the car put a new carb on it and a new battery and started, working on restoring it to its former glory

its a 200ci I6 with a 3 speed manual

Sounds alot like mine. I have a 1966 I6 Mustang that i've been restoring for 5 months. I have it stripped and in primer and now i am moving on to getting the engine running. So, what did you have to do to get your mustang running?

all we had to do luckily was buy a rebuilt carburetor and a battery and it started right up we got lucky. we also replaced the fuel filter because it didn't fit the carburetor

i am trying to get my mom to buy a 1966 mustang for $650 it needs some parts like interior parts and 1 head light and floor pans. is that a god deal. i got pictures of it if you wanna see them and tell me ifs its a good deal

it would probably need more than that if u want to send me some pictures of it i could try to help you out. if the floors are rusted out there is a good chance there is something else wrong though.

Its ok, so have you stared the restoration yet?

ya we have stripped the car, interior, fenders, bumpers, doors, trunk...now we have to fix the rust a lot of rust

Cool Car, I too am restoring a 66 mustang. So just so you know, the classic mustangs didn't have V6's, they had inline 6's. I just saw that on you video description.
