I left the Armoured Engineers 28 years ago and wish we had those bits of kit then ,for us it used to be "Aye well we trundelled along the road an hour behind the battle group in oor auld Cent AVRE towing a Giant Viper , got to the minefield , had a brew ,spent another hour prepping the thing for firing , had another brew , pushed the tit , nothing happened , had another brew and maybe a fag ,decide its feck'd , turn around , and go home ". Happy days .

@zunkel I am in the engineers, and those things pack a hell of a punch in a taliban compound!!
-
@32MoRtAr It's purpose is to be shot over possible IED fields and the blast and heat in itself should set off the nearby IED's the US Military has similar weapons that work very very well.
Chew on THATaliban wankers!!!!
Is this kit taking over from 'Giant Viper' that we used a few years ago??

No, I'm pretty sure that they use the Trojan (an armoured engineer tank, as you may know), like in my other video. Defence News Imagery said in the description for that Video, that they used the Trojan, so I think, they only have one type in the field and this is also a Trojan.

@zunkel The Python replaced the Giant Viper years ago, ive served with the Royal Engineers for 10 years and its been in service since i joined. And the Trojan was a replacement for the AVRE.
