This video shows the test results for 2 drives; one is the Seagate 500GB SATA drive and the other is the new Intel X25-V SSD. The results are from HD Tune Pro. Take note of the numbers on the left-hand side, they tell the real story! Also check the access times! Rocket fast!
This Seagate was broken. My Barracuda 7200.11 make 90MB/s on avarage speed. This is an unreliable test.

@Hanimor thanks :-)

@1981z28camaro same write speed, but the SSD is WAY faster in read speed, like 200 mb/s vs 50 mb/s, check it again xD

@1981z28camaro nvm, just noticed the charts start at different points.

So I don't get it....your hard drive is WAY faster than your SSD at 0:35, what's up with that?

@NassguI I don't get the point of raiding, like I know you get more speed, but if ONE of them fails, ALL of them fail, just seems like a huge risk for hardly any difference in speed, so you'll open Quicktime in 0.0002 seconds, instead of 1 second, but your not even going to notice.

2010, by 2015 maybe a 300GB will be $90 or less, but for that money, I'd rather get 4x 750GB and RAID 5 them.

The X25-V is only twice the price of a 500GB in my area. It makes a great Windows drive and for me that's perfect because I use 2 500GB drives in RAID for personal storage and an external 1TB for archiving. The X25-V is perfect for anyone with a similar configuration.
