Firing a Gemtech G5 quick detach suppressor on an M-16, then on a Ruger 77/22 rimfire rifle. It attaches with a fast "press and twist" motion that locks it onto a special flash hider, that stays on the firearm. Having several flash hider equipped firearms allows you to swap the suppressor quickly between them. This suppressor is suitable for 5.56mm, 5.45mm, 5.7 mm and 22 rimfire. Video was taken at a private range with Class 3 dealer, Sheridan Arms on Sept 24, 2011. The suppressor and M-16 are registered NFA items, making them completely legal.
@hkct45 Yeah, I'm in MI too. This shoot was arranged by a Saginaw based Class 3 dealer to show folks what's available, now that we can have them.

@WillieWonka928D Yeah, the other thing you can't see in the video is the increased debris coming out of the ejection port. Being a lefty, I noticed it quite a bit.

I was at that shoot today, I was the kid in the camo hat. I enjoyed the shoot, it was a lot of fun. I still can't get over the .22 pistol, that thing was cool haha. My uncle said Phil was gonna have another shoot in a month so we'll probably be going to that. I'd like to go to that pumpkin shoot like what you had a video of, now that looked like fun!
And I noticed on this video the M16 sounds a lot quieter than it really is, weird lol. Probably just the way the camera is.
