This was my first attempt at cooking biscuits outside in a camp style dutch oven, using charcoal briquettes.

  • When I saw this vid, that scene from Lonesome Dove came immediately to mind before I even watched the vid. Funny how one offhand image from a movie just sticks like glue.

  • Biscuits are ready! get away you damn pigs! just like on lonesome dove!

  • @frogprepper well that makes me the newt

  • dude, canned biscuits? Really?

  • They look great. In my family the DO's are called the Magic Pots: they are a big hit around Christmas, also go camping and canoeing for one pot magic meals so far we have done chicken, duck, roasts, stews, ribs, bread, biscuits and a leg of lamb. All good! Your biscuits are inspring, thanks for sharing.

  • Hey, thanks for watching my Ruger Mk 3 Standard videos! Yeah, I was quite surprised at the groups he shot with a Standard, but the part that got me was that the sights are fixed and they are good out of the box, which I think mine are. I "believed" that claim based on my Ruger 10/22, which was fine out of the box... plus the words of others... very very few people had anythin bad to say... except that one guy I saw on YouTube who broke his somehow... ;)
